I already have two blogs, one attached to my art site, which is exclusively about art and my art business. The other, called Without the State, has been running off and on since 2003. I’ve decided however to retire it. It began as an adjunct to my business, when I worked as a community planning consultant, then morphed into a general planning and urban design blog, then morphed again into looking at ways to work, as the title said, Without the State, a concept I thought of as ‘practical anarchy’. My inspiration in this was Colin Ward.
All the topics in that blog still interest me, but I’m no longer in the agitprop business. I don’t want to be constrained by what I write. Hence, this new blog. The old one will stay up, but won’t be added to.
